Free SEO and WordPress Courses in Catania, Sicily

ndrea Motta - Linguaglossa

Sicily is now paving the way for a digital future for its young people, which is extremely exciting.

Starting this Saturday, and running for four consecutive Saturdays across March and April, Linguaglossa, a town located on the northeastern slopes of Mount Etna, just a short drive from Catania, will host the “SEO & Digital Analytics” training module. This initiative is completely free and is being offered by the Ascuta Association, in collaboration with Etna Digital Academy.

Fully funded by the Sicilian Region and the Presidency of the Council of Ministers – Department for Youth Policies, the project aims to enhance youth employability and empower the next generation through digital skills.

Who’s behind the project?

Ascuta is a Sicilian-based association focused on promoting culture, skills, and opportunities for young people, with a particular emphasis on education and innovation.

Etna Digital Academy, on the other hand, is a Catania-based organisation that offers training programs in tech and digital marketing, aiming to bridge the gap between education and the digital job market.

The support of the Sicilian Region and the Department for Youth Policies of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers is part of a larger effort to tackle youth unemployment and close the digital divide that still affects many areas, especially in Southern Italy.

In this context, the choice of Andrea Motta as the instructor for the SEO & Digital Analytics module is no coincidence: with over ten years of experience as an SEO Consultant across Italy and the UK, Andrea has worked on international SEO projects in highly competitive sectors such as iGaming, e-commerce, and publishing. His return to Sicily represents not just a concrete contribution to the region’s digital growth, but also an opportunity for young participants to learn from a professional who is highly familiar with the real demands in the digital marketing arena.

What does the course offer?

The training module is designed for young people between 18 and 35 years old and is completely free. Participants will have access to two modules:

  • SEO & Digital Analytics, led by Andrea Motta
  • Website Creation with WordPress, taught by Stefano Presti

Over the course of ten lessons, participants will learn how to:

  • Build a website from scratch using WordPress
  • Optimise it for search engines
  • Monitor its performance using analytics tools
  • Acquire essential skills that are in high demand in today’s digital job market

“Happy to offer something useful to my community”

After ten years abroad, it’s a pleasure to return to Italy and offer something useful to my community: Catania,” says Andrea Motta, an SEO specialist with international experience.

“Of course, compared to the UK, where I lived for about ten years, there are still many steps to take here. But compared to Catania back ten or fifteen years ago, I can sense a real desire to grow.”

Andrea emphasises the importance of the initiative: “Associations like Ascuta deserve support. They have the merit of securing public funds and turning them into real opportunities for the local youth. Offering high-quality courses that teach the fundamental skills of the digital world is a first step toward building a more solid and competitive future.”

He concludes with a wish: “I hope many of the young people who attend these lessons will one day become colleagues or, why not, competitors. In digital, there’s space for everyone: big and small companies alike are increasingly in need of SEO, analytics, content, and web development skills. No one will be left behind.”

This course is part of the second training module that Andrea Motta has planned for 2025, following the first session held at the end of February and early March at Etna Digital Academy’s headquarters in central Catania. The next session is scheduled for June. If you’d like to contact Andrea Motta for more information or to request one to one courses, submit the contact form.
